Seattle Film Society
Film Discussion Group
What is it?
A weekly, freewheeling, film-school-style discussion group.
Conversations are community-driven, and topics and moderators are different each month. The goal is always to gain a better understanding of the film and the context around it. You're welcome and encouraged to bring thoughts and questions to the discussions.
How does it work?
Watch the week’s film at home, on your own time.
Then, meet in-person to discuss the film, usually at Rubix Apartments, from 7:00pm - 8:30pm. The discussion will be led by one selected group member, who will moderate and provide talking points to drive the conversation.
Once per month, the Film Discussion Group will also select a “Field Trip”, where the whole group will watch the film together at a theater, and then discuss it (at a location TBD) afterwards.
Weekly details will be listed on the calendar events
