What is Directors Lab?
Directors Lab is a place for directors and actors to practice working together in a friendly, judgement-free environment.
The event consists of four directors and four actors. Two of the directors will bring a two page two-character scene and two actors each. One director will get to work with their two actors on their scene for 15 minutes, then the other three directors will take 10 minutes each to work with those same two actors on that same scene. After that we’ll repeat the exercise with the second director and their scene and two actors.

When is it?
Directors Lab is held on the third Thursday of each month from 6-8:30pm.
How do I attend?

Anyone who is interested in directing and/or acting and wants to get more experience is invited!

This event is intended to help Directors and Actors build upon established skills. As such, we strongly encourage participants to have some prior familiarity with Directing or Acting. This can include Directing/Acting for films or theatre, and may also include classes, commercials, instructional videos, or even directing or acting books.

To help offset rental costs, we ask for an optional $10 donation from our participants.

Yes! We will be able to pair you with actors who have also signed up.

Yes! Directors can either invite their own actors, or they can choose to be paired with actors (like you) who sign up.
